I really wasn't thinking about playing College Baseball...It was a very tough process at first but through working with Aggie and Baseball Prodigy, it helped line out a clear path for me.
Garett is cerebral, well-spoken, and honest with himself but he wasn’t playing much on his HS team as a rising Senior. He was focused on stats and was very thin in stature. Every time he stepped on the field he felt like it was do or die based on how his stats were for any given game.
We talked about where he was at and what he ultimately wanted to accomplish. He thought he could hit at the next level but we told him the goal was not to get limited at-bats but to take his really fast arm and body type that could potentially make him a pro prospect someday.
We started integrating programming to prepare his body to dominate on the mound and stop worrying about stats and start focusing on metrics…things he could control with proper training.
He was meticulous in his training and his research of schools and had very specific needs and wants for his future. We were able to align him with several schools of interest and he ended up receiving over 50% worth of scholarships to a Division 2 program that fit all his desires.
Pretty good for a guy not playing much in HS as a Senior…
